Our Story
How DB Portland Started
Founded in 2008 out of a small garage in Irvington, our shop has grown from a single-truck crew into a fully licensed, bonded, and insured deck-only specialist serving every Portland service area from Downtown to East Portland.
We started because we kept seeing the same thing: homeowners getting upsold on full deck replacements when a careful repair would have lasted another decade. We knew we could do better, and we have. Over 17 years and 1,250+ projects later, we still operate by that same principle.

We are a deck-only building company based in Portland, Oregon. We do not paint, we do not roof, and we do not fence. Decks are the whole business, which is why our carpenters know what a wet Portland winter does to a ledger board and how deep a footing has to sit in local clay.
